My students are very interactive and thrive off of learning opportunities that incorporate kinesthetic learning. Being able to touch, create, innovate, and problem-solve will help students reach new heights in their individual learning. These learning opportunities offer additional and equitable experiences that every student in our classroom will have access to. Students will also be able to express their understanding of learned concepts in a variety of different ways. A purposeful and engaging morning routine is vital to the success of a productive day! After morning class jobs are completed, students will have to choose from a variety of different activities to engage with. These activities range from building, problem-solving, analyzing, engineering, expressing creativity and so much more! Having access to materials that will engage, challenge, and spark creativity is essential to our learning environment. The use of these materials at the beginning of every day will help to awaken our inner engineers, architects, entrepreneurs, artists, etc. These activities will also give students authentic experiences of collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. Not only are we learning to be professional learners, but we are also coaching students on how to be positive and effective members of our world. Learning to compromise with project ideas, experience positive failure, and communicate with kindness are a few of several organic interactions they will continue to face throughout their lives.
