My students are excited and energetic about our school community and the community around them! Our community is in the South Bronx- the poorest congressional district in America. Our small community serves students from diverse backgrounds with diverse learning needs. We are a Title I school with students that come from challenging backgrounds, but are inspired to learn new things that will help their community and their futures! My students are excited by challenges that require problem solving. The use of technology and hands-on activities in our classroom benefits all students, especially those with learning needs, become even stronger independent mathematical thinkers.
