My students are vibrant, fun, diverse and excited to learn. They are English Language Learners who bring 5 different languages to our classroom. Our school is located in a low income neighborhood with 100% of my students receiving free or reduced lunch. Many of them take trips to the clothing bank for basic needs like socks. Several students take home snack bags every Friday to provide them with enough nutritious snacks to make it through the weekend. Despite these hardships, they are always smiling. They are kinesthetic learners who enjoy hands-on activities.
