Hands-on activities inspire students to create and learn in an environment that is conducive to cooperative learning. Our high school STEM club offers students the opportunity to apply what they have learned, but we are in desperate need of supplies and furnishings. This year's project is the first of its kind as we have established a makerspace for students to take part in classroom activities and contests including but not limited to a chain reaction contraption. With your help and generous donation, every student this year and for years to come will have opportunities to develop technological and constructive skills. This project will test my students' ability to apply their knowledge to real world situations while learning to work cooperatively with team and community members. Basic tools such as power tools, screw drivers and hammers will get them started, and a 3D printer will give them a creative edge over the competition. From engineering majors to the creative arts, students will lean on each others' strengths to find success.
