There is nothing like getting your hands dirty. Sculptural materials can be messy and my students often love working with these supplies. They spend hours working on their masterpieces just to miss out on the opportunity to display them and show them off. I hate the idea of their work getting messed up by curious touching or accidental bumping.This prevents us from getting to display 3D works. A vital part of art making is showing off the finished work. Giving students the opportunity to display their work safely would give the chance to do just that. I love walking to my classroom and seeing students proudly pointing out their 2D works to teachers and peer. I would love for them to be able to do the same with their 3D works.
