A key ingredient to any AP Physics class is scientific inquiry through lab work. These shared experiences give students insight into how physicists and engineers conduct research. Hands-on inquiry based labs give students of color, students with special needs, and first time AP students shared experiences that level the playing field, provide greater access to course content and empowers them to succeed both in and out of my classroom. These multimeters will allow my students to discover the relationships that essential to understanding how the power grid words and why alternative energy sources are so important. This directly aligns with course goals and makes the content more relevant to their lives.
