The listening center, including a CD player, eight sets of working headphones, and books with cds will help enhance my students' learning experiences. As you know, speaking and listening are a huge and necessary component to success in a kindergarten classroom. I'd love to use a listening center to give my students extra practice with targeted phonics skills, comprehension skills, and new and exciting ways to visualize, compare, and contrast. It will fit in with my literacy stations my students already do on a daily basis. My students' favorite thing to do is listening to read alouds throughout the day! This would be a wonderful asset to use in our classroom!
