Our magnet program takes the study of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) beyond the classroom through clubs like TSA, the Technology Student Association, and gives students the chance to pursue academic challenges, such as film-making, biotechnology innovation, and structural engineering, among friends with similar goals and interests. Together our students work on competitive events that lead them to attend conferences on the state and national levels. These competitions lead the students to discover their passions while simultaneously developing their problem-solving skills and team work skills. TSA projects also require students to be compassionate and understanding as they work in groups for months at a time to complete and improve their ideas. Furthermore, this opportunity helps our students to network by making new friends and classmates that they will meet again in college.
