As our school's Behavior Analyst (BCBA), I support seven special education classrooms serving up to 52 students with autism and other developmental disabilities across multiple grade levels. The students I work with have a wide range of strengths, abilities, and support needs. Some communicate verbally and participate in grade-level academics, while others require significant support with communication, social interaction, behavior regulation, and daily living skills. I collaborate closely with teachers, related service providers, and families to help students build the skills they need to learn, connect with others, and succeed both in school and beyond. Resources funded through DonorsChoose support communication, engagement, sensory regulation, independence, and meaningful learning opportunities for students across our entire special education program.
