I teach in a ethnically and socioeconomically diverse middle school in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. Our students are amazing! They want to learn and be successful, but they often lack the tools they need to make it happen. Our students want to make real connections to the world and learn from experience. They connect most by working cooperatively and through engaging in the world digitally. They learn best through hands-on, real-world experiences. While travel is not always possible, we can connect to the world by engaging in and creating digital content. Technology allows us to interact with the world without the constraints of time or location. I strive to help our students truly understand the power of education and strong connection that literacy and technology play in their futures. With the right tools, there is nothing they cannot accomplish! Please support our students and their dreams!
