My students struggle identifying their emotions and learning appropriate coping strategies. My students also struggle using appropriate strategies when they are upset, nervous, anxious, and tired. I plan on teaching them all the different emotions by using the Emotions LEGO an Brick sets. After teaching them the different emotions, I will have them practice learning and using appropriate coping skills by working together with each other when building LEGOS together. My students will benefit by using the LEGO Emotions set by learning and identifying their feelings, and then being able to use appropriate learned coping skills to be able to cope with their feelings.
