The 2013-2014 school year marks my first year of teaching and I need your help! Unfortunately, I will receive little to no funds from the school to purchase enough materials to start a classroom. I want to provide a fun learning environment for all my students. I am a Kindergarten teacher who is dual certified in Special Education and General Education. My classroom will contain general education students as well as students with special needs. Since my students are only 5 and 6 years old, it is essential that they have access to fun, hands-on, interactive learning materials. I specifically chose to teach in a high needs school because I believe I can provide this population with an opportunity to receive an education that will prepare them to be productive people in society. As I embark on my teaching career, I will have to spend a good amount of my own money and make my own resources to meet the needs of ALL my students.
