If we are to hope for a society of culturally literate people, music must be a vital part of our children's education." - Yo-Yo Ma As part of music class, we explore many different world cultures. We love getting to make music from places all over the world. Adding cajon and congo drums to our classroom would help us to create more authentic musical accompaniments to go with our singing. Music is a great way to find commonalities between cultures. Learning and making music together builds a close-knit classroom community with a greater acceptance of diversity. Please help make these valuable learning experiences possible by helping us get a cajon and some congo drums to add to our music classes. Thank you!
