I teach a very busy preschool/kindergarten class of 11 students identified with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. We are a new program to my school site, which has been very welcoming to my students. My class uses research based interventions in order to increase language and social skills. We also design lesson activities to meet state standards. With my young students this can be very difficult to do, as many modifications and accommodations are needed. My students are energetic and excited to learn! As a new program on a low income campus, there are many resources that are needed so that my students can reach their full potential!
