I teach high school students with Multiple Disabilities/Autism. The students are using a Life Skills curriculum to learn. The more realistic looking the materials the better. We want the students to be able to relate what they are learning in the classroom to the real world. The color printer will provide the students with realistic looking materials. Having real pictures to learn from will make it easier for the students to relate what they have learned in the classroom to the real life situation. We are currently planning a trip to the grocery store. The real pictures will be used for the students (verbal and non-verbal) to find items on their grocery scavenger hunt list. The real images will greatly increase the students ability to learn and relate!
