Within my classroom, my students become a family. Our school is a low-income school where 90% of our students have free/reduced-price lunch. No matter what troubles or hardships my students may face outside of the classroom, they are welcomed as equals, and as their teacher, I hold high expectations for each of them. After working with these particular students just a few short weeks, I have come to realize how eager they are to learn and how many goals they already have set for themselves in the future. I want to have an influence on my kiddos and ensure that they have everything they need to achieve every goal they set. Not only are my students strong individuals, they are very committed to growing academically and it is my job to encourage a positive and resourceful environment to ensure their success in learning.
