In second grade, we meet in a group meeting area very often throughout the day, for lessons and activities. The students read on the rug independently and with a buddy. They also use this area to play math and literacy games. We complete read aloud and mini-lessons on the rug. Currently, we have two older rugs put together for this space. I would like to have a nice, comfortable rug for the children, so they will be comfortable during these activities, as it is on a cold, hard floor. A nice, welcoming, comfortable rug will make our gatherings much brighter and more comfortable for the students!
