As an inclusive classroom teacher, I recognize and value that all my students learn differently. I strive to provide all my students with instruction and supports that assist them in feeling happy and successful in school. Attaining a new set of cube chairs will greatly assist my students with special needs in staying seated and participating in circle time activities, partner discussions, and small group discussions. Having a cube chair to sit in will help my students focus, feel more secure in their space, keep their personal space, respect their classmates’ personal space, and increase their engagement in learning and discussions. Increasing students’ engagement in learning and discussions will provide them with positive learning experiences that will enhance their motivation to learn.
