As a fourth grade team we share 120 students. Students rotate between three classes throughout the day. In sixth grade we are required to teach students skills needed for 21st Century learning. Examples of these skills consist of keyboarding, researching, publishing, presenting (PowerPoint), and creating various Word documents. These are integral skills needed to be college and career ready. Most days this is impossible because many of the computers at our school no longer have a working mouse, keyboard and/or monitor. New technology will open a world of opportunities for students who will not have the chance to learn these skills at home.

About my class
