I love hearing my name 9,834,792 times per day because that means curious humans feel safe enough to ask questions and share stories. Every day might not be sunshine and everything fine but Lord, I'm thankful to be a teacher. It is so exciting for me to hang student artwork on the same four walls I looked at in kindergarten. It is this room that helped shape me into the educator I am today. Many of my learners face challenges before they even enter our classroom, so it is important for us to build a strong classroom community where everyone feels loved, supported, and respected. All voices in our classroom, no matter the volume are important.
