Our school is located in a high poverty area in California. Over 90% of our students receive free or reduced lunches. We have low parental involvement because the parents of our students have to work hard to make ends meet. Sometimes school is where students can come to feel safe and welcome. Over half of our students are English Language Learners with the remaining half made up primarily half white and half Native American.
