It is an honor to work with the population of students that are in my surrounding area. Being a Special Education teacher is the most rewarding career! My kiddos and families are wonderful. They continually bring a wealth of joy into our classroom that cannot be found elsewhere. "Every child deserves a champion; an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best they can possibly be"- Rita Pearson. Being a Special Education teacher means that my students need differentiation in all subject areas. My students need hands on materials to grasp concepts and understand the fullness of what they are learning. My students have many incredible talents and are able to shine at their greatest potential once material is given to them in a way that is accessible.
