This year I will not only be teaching at a new to me school in a new town, but I will be teaching a grade I have never taught before! I will be moving from teaching 4th and 5th grade to teaching 2nd! Needless to say I don't have many books for my students to read in my classroom library. Many of these students do not have books available to them at home which means they are only reading at school. For this reason I would like to give them a variety of books to choose from and explore. I want my classroom library to take my kids out of their possibly negative reality into a wonderful and imaginative escape of a book! I would also love to create a place in my room that is comfortable and inviting where students are excited to read! A carpet would help complete my classroom library and give students the atmosphere and place that I spoke of above. Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
