My students come from all over the area, and are brought together by their intellectual gifts and commitment to academic achievement at an urban school. My students graduate prepared to succeed in an ever-changing world because we work in a school encouraging curiosity, collaboration, and compassion. That said, we also face challenges of socioeconomic status: we are a high poverty school with limited resources. To continue preparing students for life after high school and remain competitive in post-secondary education and the workforce, my classroom would benefit from additional resources.
