I have selected 4th and 5th grade level chapter books and nonfiction books for students to read during guided reading sessions. These are books that regular 4th and 5th grade students read in their Language Arts class but that have versions in Spanish. The goal is to develop reading skills through close reading strategies during small group reading. Some of the books I selected are also supporting other subject areas that are taught in Spanish such as Social Studies and Science. These nonfiction books help support the curriculum and integrate these subjects into our literacy time. Thank you.
