The materials in my project will be used to make a difference in my classroom because it will allow my students to learn with hands on tools such as magnifying glasses. My students will learn how to use a magnifying glass to help describe details of organisms within a slide. Along with using magnifying glasses and slides, My students will also be able to identify and explain chacteristics of animals and life cycles with the use of the life cycle posters and cell magnets. These tools will supplement the non-fiction literature I will be using within my lessons about Life Sciences. Using these supplements will also help my visual learners better understand complex concepts such as cell functions and cell duplication. I want my students to be able work with the cell and solar systems magnets to show their understanding of the concept. When teaching about energy, the energy poster will provide visual examples of each type of energy. All visual aids are necessary in my project because they will be used within my lessons as a platform for students to recall information, provide visual aids for visual learners, and demonstrate understanding.
