The power of quality music education can not be quantified or underestimated. Now more than ever, we need great music instruction to provide students with structure, beauty, security, and community. Music education gives students the opportunity to develop essential cognitive and socio-emotional skills. I work in an amazing school with wonderful students and a supportive community of teachers, staff and administrators. We are of course under the same pressures many city schools face such as limited funding and serving a high poverty community. We work every day to bring out the best in each other and in our students. In order for great music education to take place, my students and I rely upon your generosity to assist us when our budget runs out.
