A nurturing classroom environment has always been a high priority for me as a teacher. During the past school year, I personally purchased furniture and many other items to physically change my classroom from a traditional set-up to a flexible seating set-up. We currently need several stools and a large rug to enhance this transformation. Through flexible seating, my students have never been more comfortable, focused on their learning, and successful! The way in which my students responded to the classroom change convinces me that it was one of the best decisions in my teaching career so far. Our group time will be enhanced if we can add this large rug that the students can sit on, and the additional stools will help provide variety for more students in our flexible seating options.
