The rekenrek supports even the youngest learners with the visual models they need to discover number relationships and develop automaticity. Students can use the rekrenrek to generate different strategies for solving basic facts. They can also use it to solve story problems. Number Sense is caught not taught! Using ten frame boards, dice, and fact games allows for the ongoing practice of math in a way that is more fun and engaging. Students need repetition in order to master content. Manipulatives allow for the flexibility of teaching the same concept in a multitude of ways to reach all learners. The large magnetic charts are great for student participation.
