I am a second year teacher who taught 3rd grade Reading and Social Studies last year and is beginning a new journey in 1st grade! My students attend a county school district and live in areas both near the school and in rural areas of our county. My children are energetic, excited to learn, and hard-working. Many of them come from challenging backgrounds and come to school for a safe place and seek praise and comfort. My classroom is a community where my students have ownership over aspects of their learning; they are encouraged to ask questions, help one another, and try without fear of failure or ridicule. The projects I post here are intended to help better my students' educational experience, whether I am requesting standard supplies or bigger items.
