My classroom is a very diverse classroom ranging from 18-23 students from all walks of life and levels of learning. My kids know they are loved, valued, and appreciated. We are family! We laugh, talk, learn, and find time to enjoy each day. Teaching is an investment of time, love, and many times our own money. My class is one where students move about working at stations on a daily basis. I do not expect them to sit at a desk all day. My students go to 5 different stations, one of which is a teacher group, during reading. Children learn by interacting with others while having quality and meaningful discussions among themselves as well as practicing what we learn through out the day. They get along better and become a more cohesive group when they work together. Our favorite class quote is from Dr. Seuss: "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go!"
