I would like to give at least ten of my students the life-changing opportunity to get out of their comfort zones and experience Math and Science in a different cultural setting. My goal is to expose them to a wide variety of cultures, people, and places through travel. Through Explorica Tours, they will have the chance to experience Math and Science with a visit to the Science Museum, the City of Science and Industry and the Palace of Discovery in both London and Paris. They will also partake in Math and Science treasure hunts around these cities. Students will be able to relate what they learn in school to these experiences and see firsthand how they apply to real-world applications.
My intentions are aligned with the mission of my school; to provide all students with a high-quality education that enables them to be contributing members of a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and pluralistic society through travel.
My goal is to create an environment that achieves equity for all students and ensures that each student is a successful learner. I want my students to learn to respect others that are culturally different while expanding their academic knowledge.
