As our education has turned the "focus" toward Common Core State Standards it has given me the opportunity to work with my students in several different areas of the curriculum beyond reading, writing, and arithmetic. Students are often put to creative tasks, tasks that allow free thinking and problem solving. They are involved in oral speaking, working together, performing, singing, building and creating. My 21 active problem solvers like to be challenged. They work hard at supporting each other and try their best to think outside the box.

About my class
