We are a first grade class. For many students, this is their first year physically attending school after the long year and a half of distance learning. Since the first day of school, they are particularly enthusiastic about reading. Many of them do not have access to physical books at home and are just now beginning their adventures in literacy. They look forward to the weekly trips to the library, are quickly reading their way through the classroom books, and listen so attentively during read aloud. There hasn't been this much passion and interest in literacy in years.

About my class
