A block center is the ideal center for cognitive development through play. It enhances children's problem-solving abilities, mathematics skills, language and literacy abilities. The students creations can help them build self esteem and feelings of success. The specific product that I have selected will allow my students to have a well structured and organized area that is set up for success. ​ Our block center will offer many ways for my students who are becoming dual language learners to explore, express themselves, and demonstrate what they are learning across languages. It truly plays a fundamental role in their cognitive development as well as in many other essential areas.
