I teach in a 4th grade Dual Language Program in Oklahoma. The school is 50% free and reduced lunch. My classroom dynamics consist of students from all backgrounds and academic levels. Half of my students are native Spanish speakers and the other half are native English speakers. These students have combined together to learn each others languages and cultures. These students spend half of their day emersed in a Spanish only environment, while the other half is spent in an English only environment. They are very eager to learn and love being presented with challenges to overcome.
