Children say the funniest things sometimes. Has a student every asked you, "did you paint your hair?" or "am I yellow or brown?". These are common conversations I have participated in classrooms throughout the years regarding skin tone and/or hair color. How do seven, eight, and nine year olds see the world? Help me give my students realistic choices and an assortment of skin hues to use in class. Over the past 20 months, students have been responding mostly on devices. Let's work together to provide each of them with a more balanced approached.
