Imagination and play are essential to development of a variety of skills for preschool aged children. My students need repeated opportunities to expand their play so that they can improve their communicative, cognitive, and social skills. My students will use these pretend play items such as the Little People Big Helpers Home to practice using vocabulary appropriately, interact with peers, and follow multi step directions. Through the use of puzzles, my students will be able to work on problem solving skills, knowledge of vocabulary, and independence. My students will use the Smart Snacks learning game for repeated exposure to vocabulary.
