Our high school students live and learn throughout Nevada and have made the choice to enroll in online public education for a variety of reasons. We are a Title 1 school with more than 1,000 students enrolled in grades 9-12. Due to geographical location, physical or health related issues, economic hardships, competitive sports or employment, transportation issues, or other reasons, many of our students cannot attend in-person events and field trips for hands-on learning. Using technology, they have the opportunity to experience that learning environment in real time with teachers and peers throughout the week. Having the ability to do labs together while students lead the investigations would greatly benefit them and spark a greater interest in science!
