I am the Media Coordinator at Chase High School. In the Media Center my goals are to provide all of our students with an inviting area to collaborate, enjoy reading, research and explore areas that interest them. We have started a Maker Space in the Media Center for students to create, explore and pursue their passions. Right now we have a group of students that are very interested in building and engineering. They have been working on building structures using K'Nex building materials. Currently they are building a 6 foot tall working Ferris wheel. I have witnessed them collaborate, problem solve and persevere throughout this process. They come in during lunch and whenever they have free time to work. This project is coming to an end and they are ready for their next challenge.
