I am a psychologist and artist working in a Title 1 school counseling talented students age 14 to 22 who have special learning needs including autism. My role is to support my students so they improve their communication and advocacy skills to become caring, empathetic, productive, and happy young adults. Literacy, art, music, and dance help my students to communicate and cope with the daily stress of life while learning new skills they will use in their adult life after the completion of school.
