My first year Drama students are shy and sometimes inhibited; many need self-confidence, and they have great potential! Their ages range from 14 to 18. Sometimes they are afraid to get onstage, and sometimes I can't keep them away from it. They get excited easily, and the thought of seeing themselves on camera, although at first daunting, turns into excitement and gives them a boost in confidence. My 2nd, 3rd & 4th year Drama students are talented and determined! They love to try new things like writing witty repertoire and performing for the camera. Their confidence grows. My students attend a school that has a limited budget for arts education and are in great need of technology! We are one of seven high schools in our district. We have an ever-increasing API and the potential to become a "Distinguished" school. The equipment in our theatre is antiquated and needs to move into the new century. Every student needs an opportunity for self-expression through film and television.
