In a world where everything we do revolves around technology it is important to give our students every advantage we can. This is true for ALL students. The students at P. Elementary are bright, hard-working students who happen to live in a disadvantaged area. My students need Chromebooks so that we can become more technically literate, digitally advanced, and learn how to become responsible, active members of the computer age. It is our job to prepare these students for the future! With 1-to-1 technology, these students will be able to research the most up to date information, learn to manipulate computer programs, prepare presentations, remediate skills, complete assignments in a new and exciting way, and eventually learn to code. These students work hard every day and deserve the best we can offer them. 1-to-1 technology puts the world at their fingertips and allows them to begin to develop the leadership, ethics, and digital responsibility they will need to command the future.
