I look at the 32 sleepy but smiling faces of my students in my classroom. I pose the question, "Why is science important?" and at least 20 hands eagerly shoot up. My students are excited about learning science, which makes it an absolute joy to teach it to them. They're curious and motivated to investigate how and why phenomena happen. They work together to overcome obstacles to discover. Naturally, they adopt an investigative attitude reflective of that of scientists. In my classroom, my students are thinking and acting like scientists!
