The population of our small town is around 4,700. The District services a much larger rural population. There are currently around 300 students in the 7th and 8th grade. Projected student enrollment for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades for the 2014-2015 school year is between 475 and 500 students. The current demographics of our Middle School is 70% White, 24% Hispanic, and 6% African American, Asian or other. 20% of our population is ESL, 16% is Special Ed, and 11% is GT. 73% of the students are receiving free or reduced meals.
