Hello! Thank you for your interest in helping me bring kids to reading. As author James Patterson says: " If kids don't read...a lot [they] are falling behind in school, which means they are likely to fall behind in life. I believe if you can turn a kid on to reading, you're saving a life...I want to save lives." He also says, "There's no such thing as a kid who hates reading. There are just kids who love reading and kids who are reading the wrong books. We need to help them find the right books." These are the reasons I am campaigning for a great variety of books at different reading levels for our library. Our mission is vital, and books that are - on the average - 24 years old, just aren't going to get the job done. Thank you for your help!
