My students are bursting with the entrepreneurial mindset. We have created a class that would allow them to develop career-technical skills by starting their own business. This will help them develop 21st century skills such as creativity, innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Through this experience, students also learn develop key mathematical and communication skills through dealing with customers and money on a daily basis. The cash register drawn and square payment system will help us these skills. By allowing us to accept cash, debit and credit cards as forms of payment in the store. Use of the square system and software will track employee hours, inventory, and sales. Finally, the refrigerator will allow the students a place to showcase products that need to be kept cold and provide a variety of drinks for our student population.
