My students, like many young people this day and age, face many challenges. This school year, they have learned how to cope positively with tough situations by implementing positive coping and stress management strategies. They respond strongly to sensory activities and they need materials available to them in each classroom. My project will allow me to create sensory sand boxes for each classroom in our school. Each box will include sand, shells, toy fossils, and Zen rakes. The boxes will allow students to have a calming tool in their classroom when needed. I am excited to build on this project to supply sensory baskets for our entire school!

About my class
