I like that the devices are simple to use and that they don't involve the students being on a computer, tablet, or phone. The students are able to actually turn the pages of the books. The cooking items you donated didn't just help us prepare food — they helped us create a hands‑on learning experience my students will remember.\r\n\r\nAs soon as the supplies arrived, my students were buzzing with excitement. They loved seeing real cooking tools and ingredients laid out in our classroom, and it immediately sparked conversations about family traditions, favorite foods, and how meals bring people together. We used the donated items to measure, mix, follow directions, and work as a team — all skills we've been practicing academically but were able to apply in such a meaningful, real‑world way.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was watching students who are usually shy step into leadership roles as they helped classmates read recipes, portion ingredients, or set up serving stations. The pride on their faces said everything. They weren't just eating a holiday meal — they were creating it.\r\n\r\nYour support gave my students the chance to experience community, responsibility, and celebration all at once. As we move forward, we'll continue using these cooking items for future lessons on measurement, sequencing, and cultural traditions. You've helped us build a classroom environment where learning feels joyful, connected, and hands‑on.","fullyFundedDate":1760718745964,"projectUrl":"project/cooking-up-holiday-learning/9717856/","projectTitle":"Cooking Up Holiday Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gregory","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8501061_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1655421984999","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-gregoryy"},{"teacherId":9216386,"projectId":9715390,"letterContent":"We received two communication devices that will be shared amongst my students who struggle to communicate. We have used these supplies the first quarter of the year and they have been amazing!! Students were so excited when they saw the lego wall in the calm down corner for the first time.
