Building empathy in our children helps us to grow a nation of adults who are accepting, inclusive, and compassionate. Please help me grow my classroom library of rigorous text that exposes children to diversity. These texts have been specifically chosen to enhance the current units of study aligned with our district curriculum. Students study: The Holocaust, Understanding how one person can make a difference through community activism, Poetry as a medium for story telling, empowering others to act, and sharing our diverse history and heritage.
